Sisalation fr430 - fire retardant heavy industrial grade

 

Sisalation is a reinforced aluminium foil insulation material , made from a lamination of aluminium foil, kraft paper , reinforced synthetic fibre and polyethylene. it is used in factories, warehouses, schools , hospitals ,commercial and residential dwellings.

Sisalation reduces heat gains in summer and contains heat losses in winter. The material also acts as a waterproofing membrane when used under roof tiles.

Sisalation has a high light reflectivity. When installed in industrial building as an exposed internal roof lining, the reflectivity of the foil will enhance the lighting of the building.

 

Standard Authority

Tested by the SABS and NBRI for heat transmittance for thermal insulation, and by the SABS and Firelab for th indices. Sisalation manufactured according to ISO 9001:2000 remains an industry leader and is the first reflective foil insulation product to be awarded th SABS mark of quality

Fire Classification

Sisalation FR430 and FR405 has a fire classification of B/B1/2/H&V [with and without sprinklers] when tested in accordance with SANS 428:2006 protocol.

Chemical Properties
Resistance to alkalis is poor. Sisalation must not be used in contact with wet concrete. Resistance to copper is low, due to electrolyte action.
 
Durability 
It is not recommended for extended outdoor exposure.

Factorylite is manufactured from high quality noncombustible flexible Glasswool insulation with an inert binder, which makes the product lightweight, safe and resilient. Factorylite is faced on one side with either a reinforced foil or white metalised foil. Factorylite can be faced on both sides on request.

Insulation installed over purlin under roof sheet. In South Africa, the bulk of retail and industrial buildings are steel-sheet clad frames, where 70% of the heat gain is through the roof. IsoBoard over purlin insulation is the most cost effective method of achieving thermal efficiency in these buildings.

Our Galvanised steel is greatly resistant to rust and thus considerably prolongs its service lifespan. It is available in a wide range  of gauges and lengths, and is used extensively in the construction industry and in the industrial, do-it-yourself, and agricultural sectors. 

Our PVC Coated Steel is manufactured with a high grade PVC outer cover, over a center core of multiple high tensile fine galvanised wires. This is a heavy duty wire which is rust free, has minimal sag and is ideal for use in roofing applications. By using multiple fine wires in the core the coated steel wire is kink free.
